In May, 1959, the first Saunders’ business was opened in Mobile, AL. The location on Royal Street was incorporated as the Benson & Saunders Specialty Company. Mr. Andrew Saunders, Sr, followed his dream to go out on his own and start a business servicing vessels in the bustling port. From that start to today, we have grown, shrunk, adjusted, rebranded, and ultimately thrived for 6 decades. In 2019, we are proud to celebrate our 60th anniversary of continuous family business operation!
We are grateful and humbled by the success and endurance of our enterprise. The fact that we are still here is a tribute to the extended Saunders family and all the employees and leaders who have contributed. We started this year with a company retreat where Andrew Saunders, Jr, reminded our current employees of the characteristics of that were infused in his father’s world view,

We are most grateful for the wonderful relationships that have been created in pursuing business success.
